The chemical group of ions in which there are more than 3 no.of atoms , are known as Polyatomic ions .

• Polyatomic Cations -

These are group of ions which have positive charge and atoms more than 3 numbers.

Example - Ammonium ion NH4 +

• Polyatomic Anions -

These are group of ions which have opposite charges meaning negative charge and atoms more than 3 numbers.

Example - Phosphate ion PO4 +
