The polymers made by the protic acid as its monomer is known as polyprotic acid.
For example.: polylactic acid.
Polylactic acid is too a polymer of lactic acid And is biodegradable.

Hey folk...

The acids which can give or which are capable of donating two or more than two protons in acid base reactions are called polyprotic acids.

Some examples are as follows:

1) H2SO4 : Diprotic (can give 2 protons)

2) H3PO4: Triprotic ( can give 3 protons )

IMPORTANT: Never judge an acid wheather it is mono protic , diprotic or triprotic on the basis of number of H atom in acid ( like in H2SO4 two H are there so it is diprotic ) because there an example H3BO3 ( Boric acid).

H3BO3 seems to be an triprotic acid but it is a monoprotic acid.
because
the boron atom is electron-deficient and to fill its octet bears the resulting anionic charge. Subsequent removal of protons results in a strong electrostatic repulsion and also has to overcome a much stronger bond enthalpy of O-H than the first deprotonation.

HOPE IT HELPS...
