Public interest pressure groups are groups formed by people of different sectors of the society who demand for a particular need to the government according to their interests.

They function by the following
methods,
1) They put pressure on the government by holding strikes, fast unto death , through slogans, marches etc.
2) They request the government to meet their interests through media, newspapers etc.
