In India , two main types of cultivating crops are there ->>Rabi and Kharif crops

{\bf{\green{Rabi\:crop}}}

These types of crops are sown at the beginning of the winter season (October-December ) and harvested by March or April.So, they are also known as winter crops.

{\bf{\green{Kharif\:crop}}}

These types of crops are sown at the beginning of south-west monsoon, during June or July. They are harvested after the monsoon in September or October. Therefore, they are known as summer crops.

There is another type of crop which are harvested in June.

Hey!

Rabi crops are those crops which are grown in winter and harvested in summer season.

For example: Wheat, Gram etc.

Kharif crops are those crops which are grown at the beginning of rainy season.

For example: Rice, Maize etc.

Hope this helps ✌
