real image is formed by the actual intersection of rays
whereas
virtual image is formed where rays are not actually intersect
real image is formed in front of mirror
whereas
virtual image is formed behind the mirror
real image is always inverted
whereas
virtual image is always erect
when the image is inverted the image will be real
and when the image is erect image is virtual

Real images we can capture on screen .
Virtual images we cannot capture on screen .
According to the position of the object in concave mirror the image is real , virtual or both sometimes formed the image .
In convex mirrors always the image forms virtual image only .
Example for real image :-
Photos took by camera , Bathrooms and bedrooms mirrors.
Example for convex mirrors :-
Rearer view mirrors of vehicles , shaving machines , monuments etc .
In concave mirrors :-
Image will be real when object is placed beyond C , on C , between C & F
Here C means center of the curvature , F means focal point .
virtual image will form when object is placed between F & P .
In convex mirror where ever we keep the object it forms always virtual image only .
