Salmandars are a type of Amphibian animals.

Salmandars have bodies that are slender. They have long tails and a short nose. Like lizards they can grow back lost parts. They have four toes in front limb and five at back.

Mudpuppies, are the only Salmandars who make a squeaky sound reminding bark of dogs. They are 27cm long
