Satellite is mostly present as the tip of chromosomes and carries the nucleolar organizing region that represent site for nucleolus formation and rRNA synthesis. Secondary constriction is rich in heterochromatin which is highly compact and coiled inactive form of DNA having less DNA and more RNA than euchromatin
