sensory neurons are the site of reception of the sense and thus are responsible for sensation in body.
they are the site which is the one which gives us sensation and helps in transmission of information of surrounding

Sensory neurons transmit impulses from the sensory cells (or receptors) towards the central nervous system ( spinal cord and brain).
