Ocean trenches are basically deep water canyons.they are mainly found in the deepest parts of the oceans.
The Abyss and Grace are some of the few movies which use ocean trenches as the base of their storyline in their movies.
This is good way to show and make the people familiar with deep points of the ocean which cannot be seen by every man.
