The data obtained from the satellite are in the form of zeros and ones. This data is then processed to get the image of the ground. The information obtained by the remote sensing data are mainly spatial data.Also known as geospatial data or geographic information it is the data or information that identifies the geographic location of features and  boundaries on Earth, such as natural or constructed features, oceans,  and more. Spatial data is usually stored as coordinates and topology, and is data that can be mapped.

 spatial data which can be used to identify a particular feature like water, land, forest, urban area on the earth which can be further have many uses like modelling urban sprawl, determining the change in the water bodies, developing models to identify surface moisture on a particular area, Identifying forest fires, estimating damages due to floods and earthquakes and so on. Remote sensing field is still emerging and a lot of scope can be found for remote sensing in the future which will be very helpful for the mankind.
