To,
editor of Times of India
New Delhi

sir,
The pollution is severely effecting the citizens of New Delhi . There are too many vehicles on road causing soo much traffic and waste age of time. At the same time the pollution is cause for school to close .

Many people are suffering from heart diseases and lung problems and many people are avoiding to come outside the house. The kids are not allowed to play outdoor games due to this pollution .

The New Delhi must launch campaigns to plant trees all over the city. They should reduce congestion as well as pollution emitting from vehicles. All taxis plying in the city must convert to CNG from March next year.  These measures should be taken for the time being to reduce pollution in our city New Delhi .

Thank you

I, Hina Sharma, would like to bring attention to the rising air and noise pollution in my area Subhash Nagar, New Delhi, through your esteemed newspaper.

You recently started daily publication of the city's air quality index. According to the index, air and noise pollution in my region have never been higher. The air quality index has above 210, which is an unhealthy level. Additionally, sound pollution is growing at an alarming rate. Ten minutes at a congested intersection at any time of the day will result in stress and a headache.

We are well aware of the health risks that these terrible human-made causes pose. It is imperative that we comprehend its personal implications. Long-term damage to the brain, liver, ear, and lungs as well as a range of health issues, including stress, poor concentration, sleep disturbances, and cognitive impairment, can be brought on by exposure to air and noise pollution. It is shocking how passive our culture has been in the face of this peril. There will come a time when the impacts of pollution will be irreversible. It is our responsibility to preserve the ecosystem for both the current and upcoming generations.

The solution to the problem is not complex. Changes must be made in both our personal and professional lives. We can slow the increase in air pollution by minimising garbage burning and the usage of firecrackers, making sure our vehicles have PUC certificates, putting filters in factories, recycling, and reusing. By making minor adjustments, such as lowering loudspeaker volumes and reducing honking, noise pollution can be reduced. Together, we can definitely change things if we work together.

I request you to initiate a campaign for this cause.

Thanking you

Yours sincerely,

Hina Sharma
