Stomata are small apertures in the epidermal surface of a plant leaf, stem or flower through which gaseous exchange and water transpiration occurs.
Two functions of stomata are -
- they help in taking carbon dioxide which help in photosynthesis.
- it help to reduce loss of water by closing it pores and helps in transpiration too.
Hope this will be helpful :)
