It is a pore, found in the epidermis of leaves, stems, and other organs, that facilitates gas exchange.

Stomata are pores present in the aerial parts of the plants.The main function of the stomata is to help in exchange of gases.Exchange of gases takes place throught this stomata.Thus stomata helps in photosynthesis.It also helps in the process of transpiration.
