Strong acid:-

An acid that completely ionise and provide the maximum concentration of hydronium ions in an aqueous solution can be called a strong acid.

Weak acid:-

An acid that does not completely ionize and provides only a smaller concentration of hydronium ions in an aqueous solution can be called a weak acid.

Strong acids:-

Hydrochloric acid (HCl).

Sulphuric acid (H₂SO₄).

Nitric acid (HNO₃).

Weak acids:-

Citric acid (C₆H₈O₇).

Acetic acid (CH₃COOH).
