To Insert a Table From a Toolbar
Place the cursor in your document where you want to insert the table.
On the Standard or the Insert bar, click the arrow next to the Table icon.
In the table grid, drag to select the numbers of rows and columns that you want, and then release.

Good evening....

A table is a grid of rows and columns that intersect to form cells.
u can insert table in writer the fallowing steps :
1) Place the cursor in your document where you want to insert the table.
2) Choose Table - Insert - Table.
3) In the Size area, enter the number of rows and columns.
4) Select the options that you want,
click OK.
