the rational numbers which gives zero as their reminder are said to be terminating rational numbers and those which does not give "0" as the remainder are said to be non terminating decimals.
easy way to find whether the rational numbers are terminating or non-terminating is
*If there denominator q is in the form of 2^ n 5^ m then it said to be a terminating decimal if not it is said to be a non-terminating decimal

terminating numbers are the numbers or fraction where the numbers after the decimal point is endless example 12.7648683684....... or12.23232323....
non terminating numbers are the numbers where the numbers after the decimal point is finite example12.3455 or 12.7688 here there is no so on(....)
rational numbers are the numbers which are in p/q form ie in a fractional form where q is not equal to 0 examples every positive natural number
