To get this audience their needs to be production management which means managing in the creation of the successful performance. Next their needs to be publicity. Publicity is promoting and advertising to make the performance desirable and get people to want to watch it. Marketing is making sure your customers get value in return whether it is satisfaction in time well spent or money well spent. The purpose of production management, publicity and marketing are simply to make a performance desirable for somebody to see.

Sound play a major role in theatre. Sound is used in many forms including words, sound effects and to sing. Sound had many purposes one being to set a mood and atmosphere. A creaking door sound effect would be used to show that the door may be old and this sound effect would also set a gloomy atmosphere with a tension and suspense in the mood of the audience. Another more general purpose of sound is to state facts, ideas, thoughts and feelings, simply by the characters speaking. When character speak they produced sound telling us what is happening, what they are thinking and what they feel. Sound can also be manipulated in different types of theatre performances to suit the style. If the style of theatre is for example exaggerated more extreme sounds will be used as opposed to realistic there were realistic sounds and speech will be used.
