The Hindustan Socialist Republican Army (HSRA) was founded in 1928.

 Its leaders were Bhagat Singh, Jatin Das and Ajoy Ghosh.

 The HSRA targeted some of the symbols of British power.

 In 1929 Bhagat Singh and Batukeshwar Dutt threw a bomb in the Legislative  assembly and the HSRA also attempted to blow the train where Lord Irwin  was travelling.
