what are the advantages of electrical appliances connected in parallel?

if we connect any resistors are in parallel connection then they will not affect all the other connects suppose if we connect a fridge , TV and washing machine then if the connection of TV destroys or if it has any defect then it will not affect other to which refrigerator and Washing Machine are connected it is advantage of connecting appliances in parallel connection

in parallel resistance become low and we know that resistance is an obstacal which resist the flow of current so in parallel easily current is flow and the loss of current in form of heat become minimum as compared to series.so the electric meter give less reading
