what are the advantages of sexual reproduction over asexual reproduction.

since asexual reproduction requires only one parent ...not much variations can be seen in offspring....in this methods exactly same copies of parent are produced i.e. clones
while in sexual reproduction both parents are involved much variations can be seen as compared to asexual reproduction.
