the adverse effect of modern farming are
~since modern farming uses HYV seeds so the need lots of water..... which decreases the water table nd... since HYV seeds also need a lot of chemical fertilisers and pesticides... it leads to loss of soil fertility.... however this fertilizers mix quickly to the soil and become available to the plants... bt they may not retain in the soil for long... nd soon pollute ground water, lakes nd rivers.. etc...
