Archimede's principal states that when an object is immersed in a liquid it experiences an upward force which is equal to the weight of the object displaced.

Applications:
1. It is used in designing of ships
2. It is used to determine the purity of milk that is in lactometers
3. It is used for determining density of a liquid
4. It is also used in determining relative density of  substance.
