There are many methods of doing vegetative propagation artificially. First of all is cutting.
i) Cutting is the removing of a portion of stem or leaf or root and fixing it in the soil. It can be done by root cutting for example lemon, by step cutting for example rose and also by leaf cutting for example by bryophyllum.
ii) Another method is grafting. in this process of cutting and attaching the stem of one plant to the stem of another the rooted Stamp on which the draught is made is called stop and the cutting stem that is attached to the stock is called scion.
iii) Another method of doing it is layering. Layering has two methods that is Mount layering and aerial layering.
