Hey dear!

Umm... I think that the bases for social differences is just the certain beliefs that people hold. Its just due to these people who create some so-called "beliefs" that arises the social differences.

I recently read a Civics chapter based on the discriminations between a boy and a girl. It was like in olden days, people refused to send their daughters to school, they didn't teach her, they were made to sit at home and do the household chores. Just to settle the thought in the mind of people 'that no daughter should be taught' some people provoked the parents by creating a illogical belief that "if a daughter gets her education, her husband will die when she gets married!" Sounds weird, isn't it?

But as India is developing more and more, people are getting educated, the illogical beliefs are decreasing day by day. Though they are still some illeterates who create beliefs even today, no one pays any attention to them though.

Hope helped!

Social diversity takes different form in different societies. We belong to community because we were born into it. We all experience social difference based in our daily lives, but all kinds of social difference are not based on birth only. Some of them are based on our choices.
