Answer: Lots of coastline.
Explanation: Lots of coastline means lots of ports and that means whatever goods you produce you just have to get them to the shore and then you can easily transport them anywhere in the world (transport on the waterways is still by far the cheapest). India has a particularly great geographical position for that since it's situated on the waterway between Asia and Europe (if you sail from say East Asia's coast you have to pass by India to reach the Red Sea and the Suez to the Mediterranean). It's then equally important for importing goods, of course.
Such activities then also bring shipbuilding and insurance buisiness and a general boost in economy to the coastal regions with them (because it makes sense to producce goods as close to the port, so you don' t have to transport it far on land).
Coastline is also great for tourism and such.
