Explanation:

When temperature of earth gradually increases due to increased concentration of carbon dioxide, chloro fluoro carbon's etc then this process is known as global warming.

The cause of global warming is continuous or steady melting of ice due to which there is rise in sea levels, warming the ocean surface, increased concentration of carbon dioxide etc all these factors lead to global warming.

Consequences of global warming are as follows.

  • Rise in sea level due to melting of glaciers or snow.
  • Increase in temperature of Earth.
  • Depletion of ozone layer  caused by the emission of chlorofluoro carbon's due to which harmful radiations enter into the Earth.
