This is because at autumn the humid air goes from Indian Ocean to the Himalayan range and goes back to the aribian ocean but the aravali hills turn some of the clouds towards Tamil Nadu.
It goes back from Himalayan range because the cloud hits the mountain which turns because of this and same happens with aravali range.
