lack of internal democracy : power in parties is usually concentrated in the top most levels so the candidates in the lower levels do not know what is actually going on.
hierarchy: most of the new candidates are family members of the old ones . this is bad because then the people without experience or power are able to enjoy the top positions.
money and muscle power: this is the most common cause of corruption . parties often use this method to gain votes.
