Nepal is a small weak nation with virulent competing politics and lots of catastrophic damage; all this makes it vulnerable to take over by seemingly friendly neighbor China. Yet, Nepal is strong cousin of India and is nearly a duplicate of it culturally. Those two big nations want Nepal and that contention will cause Nepal much social upset for years (until China dominates from within). These forces are set to go on forever and can not be overcome.
