Challenges faced by farmers :

☆ Insufficient capital like money, seeds, machines.
☆ Low prices of crops affects their living.
☆ Crops fails when disaster or calamities affect them.
☆ High rates of interest of loans from moneylenders would not be affordable by them and they may have to sell the land.
☆ Multinational companies may steal their land or resources.

❇️ Challenges faced by Indian farmers today :-

➡️ The Government is reducing the public investment in agriculture sector particularly in irrigation, power, etc.

➡️ Decreasing subsidy on fertilisers leads to increase in the cost of production.

➡️ Reduction in import duties on agricultural products have proved detrimental to agriculture in the country.
