what are the characteristics of chordata phylem

INTRODUCTION:chordatas also called as vertebratas,they have a true vertebral column and internal skeleton system.
THE FEATURES OF CHORDATES ARE:
1)have a notochord
2)have a dorsal nerve cord
3)are triploblastic
4)have paired gills pouches
5)are coelomates
examples are pisces(fishes),amphibian,reptiles,birds etc

These characteristics are only present during embryonic development in some chordates. The notochord provides skeletal support, gives the phylum its name, and develops into the vertebral column in vertebrates. The dorsal hollow nerve cord develops into the central nervous system: the brain and spine.
