1. Energy supplied by the sun and it is not created in the biosphere. energy is only converted into one from to unother in the biospher.
2. There is contineous transfer to one trophic level to the next level of food chain.This flow of energy are undirectional.
3. At each trophic level there is a loss of energy,which goes into the enviroment and remains anutilized.
4. At each trophic level, some of the energy utilized by the organism for their growth ,reproduction and development.
5. At each trophic level some amount of energy is lost due to respiration and metabolic activities.
