Protons-Protons are located in an atom's nucleus, which is a compact core in the center of the atom. Most nuclei also contain neutrons. Perhaps the most essential characteristic of a proton is its positive electrical charge.

Electrons-Electrons have three fundamental properties: charge, mass, and spin. By definition, the electric charge on an electron is −1. The mass of an electron has been measured and found to be 9.109389 × 10 −31 kilograms. Electrons also spin on their axes in much the same way that planets do.

Neutrons-It has no net electric charge and a mass slightly larger than that of a proton. Protons and neutrons constitute the nuclei of atoms. Since protons and neutrons behave similarly within the nucleus, and each has a mass of approximately one atomic mass unit, they are both referred to as nucleons.
