What are the components of blood function of r b c,w b c platelets?

The components of blood are RBCs(Erythrocytes) , WBCs( Leucocytes) and Blood platelets(Thrombocytes).

Functions of Erythrocytes :-

RBCs contain haemoglobin which transport oxygen from lungs to all the parts of the body.

Functions of Leucocytes :-

WBCs serve as the defence mechanism in our body. They defend against pathogens and foreign bodies which invade our body. They engulf them using Chemicals.

Functions of Thrombocytes :-

Platelets perform a major role in blood clotting.

For example, if we had a cut accidentally, then blood spouts out through it. But after some, we may notice that the blood does not come out.

This is because the Platelets present in our blood visit that area and clot the blood in the area preventing blood loss.
