Hey friend!

♦ Blood, Blood vessels, Heart and lymph are the components of the transport system in human beings.

♦ Blood transports nutrients, respiratory gases (CO2 and O2) waste products, harmones, water, inerganic ions and chemicals.

♦ Blood-vessels (Arteries and Viens)

Arteries carry blood from different organs of the body whereas veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart.

♦ Heart - Heart is a pumping organ which keeps blood continuously moving in the blood vessels.

♦ Lymph - Lymph carries digested and absorbed fat from intestine and drains excess fluid from extra cellular space back into the blood.

Hope it helps!

The main components of the transport system in human beings are the heart, blood, and blood vessels - arteries, veins, capillaries.

★ The heart is a muscular organ which pumps blood around the blood vessels.

★ Blood is a vital body fluid, consisting of plasma, platelets, and red and white blood cells.

★ constituents of blood :-

PLASMA :- it carries dissolved food for the body cells, waste matter and carbon dioxide secreated by them, antibodies to combat infection , and enzymes and hormones which control body process.

RBC ( RED BLOOD CELLS ) :- the red blood cells pass the oxygen to the body cells (by diffusion)and then return to the lungs with hemoglobin.

WBC ( WHITE BLOOD CELLS ):- they are important in body defence, they swallow up foreign bodies, eg:- bacteria.

★ The circulatory system or vascular system is a network of blood filled tubes or blood vessels - arteries, veins and capillaries.

Arteries :- these blood vessels carrying blood away from the heart, it also carries dissolved food and waste , brought into the heart by veins, and there transferred to the arteries. These carry food to the cells( via arterioles and capillaries) and the waste to the kidney.

Veins :- They contain valves to stop blood flowing backwards due to gravity, The blood contains carbon dioxide ( except pulmonary veins ) and waste matter, both picked up from body cells by capillaries . the blood in the veins leading from the digestive system and liver also carries dissolved food.

Capillaries :- Oxygen and dissolved food pass out through their walls to the body cells, and carbon dioxide and water pass in , the capillaries of the digestive organs and the liver also pick up food.
