A strong force of 16,000 under the command of Gen. Maha Minhla Minkhaung was sent with Badan Chandra Borphukon . The Burmese force entered Assam in January 1817 and defeated the Assamese force in the Battle of Ghiladhari.And this leds to the burmese invasion in assam.
