Following are the conditions favourable for the formation of an artisan well:-
1. The acquifer must lie between two impermeable rock layers to retain water
2. One or both ends of the acquifer must be exposed to allow water to percolate.
3.The aquifer must be syncline to ensure that the water has sufficient pressure to flow out naturally.
4.The aquifer must be found in a region with adequate water supply.
Hope it helps.
