Acute diseases are those diseases which occurs for a relatively short period of time, while chronic diseases are those which occurs for long time.

  • On the basis of the duration of time period that this condition exists, the diseases can be categorized into two different types, acute and chronic diseases.

  • They also occur suddenly and are generally not fatal.
