what are the difference between monocotyledons and dicotyledons?

1. Monocotyledons are those plants whose seeds have single cotyledon.

2. Their leaves have parallel venation and their roots have fibrous root system.

3. They lack cambium. For example : wheat, rice and maize etc.

Dicotyledons

1. Dicotyledons are those plants whose seeds have double cotyledon.

2. Their leaves have reticulate venation and their roots have tap root system.

3. They have cambium. For example : mango, apple and china rose etc.
