What are the difference between scalar and vector quantity?

Scalar quantity is a physical quantiy which is represented by only magnitude whereas vector quantity is a physical quantity which is represented by both magnitude and direction.
scalar quantity eg:mass,speed,time
vector quantity eg:velocity,force
