You know Ac current (Alternating Current ) is a current which has a sinusoidal waveform and it has fluctuations in it which alters with time.
And coming to the DC current (Direct current) which means it flows in a single lined path and shows same currents without Alternating
One more thing , Ac current cannot be stored in Ac format it must be converted to DC which helps to store in batteries without disturbance and main cause is Ac is not stable during storing process
