Here is your answer
A factor is a number which when divided by the original number gives remainder zero. i.e original number/factor gives 0.
For example: Take 5
Factors of 5 are 1 and 5.
5/1 and 5/5 both gives the remainder zero.
A multiple is a number which must be in the series of the original number.
For example: Take 5.
Multiples of 5 are 5,10,15,20 ......... so on.
