What are the differences between inline JavaScript and External file?

i think you asking the difference between inline JavaScript and external JavaScript and not the external file if this is the case then difference is as follows

in the inline JavaScript we use the script tag inside the same webpage in which we want the effect.

but in case of external JavaScript we make or write the JavaScript code in the some external file and include that page in our web page where we want the effect of of it
