what are the differences between the role of the S.H.O. and the magistrate?

s.h.o is the post higher than sub-inspector and below than deputy Superintendent of police. his duty is to conduct investigation of crime. but megistrate is higher post who administrate the law.

SHO:-


1. SHO is station house officer.

2. FIR (first information report) must be written by a SHO.

3. SHO registers the cases.

4. In bailable offences,SHO can give the bail.


magistrate:-


1. Magistrate is also known as DSP.

2. If SHO refuses to file the case,the person can directly go to DSP.
