Allotropes of Sulphur. Sulfur exists in various structures (in the same physical state). There are two critical crystalline structures - rhombic or octahedral (α - sulfur), and monoclinic sulfur (β - sulfur). Note: one imperative distinction between these two types of crystalline sulfur is temperature.
