there are 3 different states of matter.a ll the matter is made up of particles.
they are:
1)solid:the particles are highly packed in the solid state. the intermolecular attraction between two particles is very high.
examples:ice, stick, etc..

2)liquid:the particles are some what loosely packed.the intermolecular attraction between two particles is medium.
examples:water, milk,etc

3)gases:the particles are very loosely packed . the intermolecular force of attraction between two particles is very low.
examples:nitrogen, oxygen,etc

SOLIDS,LIQUIDS AND GASES ARE THE THREE STATES OF MATTER.

1.SOLIDS; IN SOLIDS THE MOLECULES ARE TIGHTLY PACKED.EX;BALL,CHALK

2.LIQUIDS; IN THE LIQUIDS MOLECULES ARE NOT CLOSE TO EACH OTHER .THEY FLOW.THEY HAVE A DEFINITE VOLUME BUT NOT SHAPE.EX;SALIAVA , JUICE

3.GASES;THE MOLECULES ARE VERY FREE .THEY DON'T HAVE SHAPE AND VOLUME.EX;OXEYGEN
