Answer:

TYPES OF FARMING-

1) Primitive Subsistence Farming -

--> it is practiced on small patches of land with help of primitive tools such as how, dao and digging sticks.

--> It depends on monsoon, natural fertility of soil and sustainability of other environmental conditions to the crop grown.

--> It includes the slash and burn agrculture.

--> Here the land productivity is less because no modern tools or chemicals are used.

--> Crops grown through this method are - yams, corn, maize, millets etc..

2)Intensive subsistence Farming

--> is practiced in areas of high population pressure on land.

--> Labour intensive farming

--> high doses of biochemicalinputs and irrigation used for high cost production.

--> Practiced in Uttar pradesh, West bengal, Tamil nadu and Kerala

--> There is enormous pressure on land due to farmers who continue to take maximum output from limited amout of land.

3) Commercial Farming

--> use of higher doses of modern inputs such as HYV seeds, pesticides, fertilisers for higher productivit.

--> The degree of commerecialisation of agriculture varies.

--> Plantation is a type of commercial farming in which single crp is grown on a large land.

--> It has an interface of agriculture as well as industry.

--> They cover large tracts of land using capital intensive inputs with the help of migrant labours.

--> Its production if mainly for market
