Function : Converts starch to sugar.
- Pepsin : ( Enzyme that breaks down the proteins )
Function : Proteins to peptones
- Trypsin : ( acts in alkaline medium )
Function : Peptones to peptides
- Lipase :
Function : Fats to fatty acids + Glycerol
- Enzymes in intestinal juices :
→ Carbohydrates ⇒ Glucose
→ Peptides to Amino Acids
