It stil is a line, stil has one dimension. The area limited by the circumference, which we call a circle, has two dimensions, length and width, which in this particular case are the same, and we call them diameter. So the circle is two dimensional, it has no depth!

Answer:

The radius is the distance from the center of the circle to its edge .If the radius of the circle is 4 cm ,then the diameter of the circle is 4 cm x 2 ,or 8 cm .If we know the circumference of the circle, then divide it by pie to get the diameter.
