Answer:

Disadvantages

1.We use other dirtier forms of energy (nuclear, fossil fuels) to produce it

2.There is growing concern that the magnetic fields around transmission lines may be unhealthy

3. Electricity can cause pollution if it is generated by fossil fuels, or nuclear energy. It can affect animal life if it is generated by hydroelectric dams or tidal power.

4. Electric devices, circuits, conduits, and transmission lines present a shock hazard to people: those who use it, those who work with it, and those who provide it. Short circuits and sparks also present a fire hazard.

5. High voltage lines are thought to cause hazards to plants, animals and people who live near them, because they produce magnetic and EMF fields.

6. People who have become dependent solely on electricity may be unable to function without it in an emergency.

Advantages of electricity

Electricity is a secondary energy source, meaning that it is obtained from the conversion of a primary energy source. Energy conversion efficiency of electricity is superior to that of other types of secondary energy, such as gasoline or fuel gas, and its conversion involves lower emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2). The combination of power generation methods that do not involve emissions of CO2 when electricity is generated, such as nuclear power and renewable energy, with infrastructure powered by electricity will lead to further reduction of CO2 emissions. Electrification in the transport, residential, industrial, and other spheres is indispensable for weaning the world off fossil fuels and realizing a low-carbon society
